Welcome to the Archives for Greener Museums! Greener Museums operated from 2008 to 2012 as a sustainability company that served museums and the cultural sector. Led by Director Rachel Madan, Greener Museums worked with museums of all kinds and sizes, all over the world, to help accelerate progress towards sustainability.
This website will serve as an archive for our past clients who are interested in case studies, newsletters and other free resources that were developed during our time in operation.
Between 2008 and 2012 Greener Museums worked with some of the world’s best-known museums to help them to advance sustainability strategically, resulting in larger, longer lasting changes. Our programs have helped museums save over $500,000 in costs, reduce over 1,000 tonnes of carbon, and attract in over $200,000 in new sustainability funding.
